Should a bathroom vanity go on top of the tile?

When our kitchen and both bathrooms were tiled we made sure that the entire floor was tiled. I doubt that thre'll ever be a need to change out kitchen cabinets or bathroom vanities, but Ijust like knowing that there is no bare concarete underneath any of the cabinets. Also, in the kitchen, not tiling under the cabinet area play havic with the area under the dishwasher.

Water can and will get under cabinets. The tile helps protect the wooden floor.

The op question is from a beginner I assume. I and we (assuming again), welcome questions. Ie. While you are tileing it All, replace any old shutoffs. Fix everything that will be covered and hard to get at later.
