It is a fact that the SALT benefits people in blue states more than red ones because of the nose bleed taxes they charge. Democrats end up being more likely to itemize because of it. There are home owners here in Florida with older small houses in rural counties that pay no real estate tax at all. (Assessments are capped and there is a $50,000 exemption)
