Over the past couple of weeks I've been cleaning out the garage, the shed and other storage/stash places around my lot. I collected all the scrap metal that's been lying around. Stuff that the local trash hauler won't take if I put it in the recycling bin.
A couple of rims, a stack of rotors, some angle iron, an old wrought iron banister, some aluminum baseball bats, etc. 238 lbs in total.
I got 8¢/lb for the iron and 52¢/lb for the aluminum.
I'm $22 richer today than I was yesterday. I'm going to put it aside to have available the next time I need to go to Lowe's and buy some angle iron. ;-)
