Easy way these days is the AAV -- air-admittance valve.

Hello all..........How is venting handled for sinks in free standing kitchen islands? Thanks. John

Thanks to all for your input. John

high as possible under counter) then pipe down from 45 under floor and up a wall and out the roof. You could pipe up to a 90 pointed horizontal then to a 90 pointed down pipe from there under floor over to wall and up. If you tie into an existing vent you must make your connection 6" above flood rim of sink ( top of sink)
