No job is so simple that it can't be done wrong

I have to think there was a reason.

That reminds me of a house my wife was doing quality assurance on for another field manager. The roof framers had screwed up the truss plan and there was a piece of 2x4 sticking out in the room because they used the wrong truss there. The drywallers drywalled around it, the trim carpenters installed crown around it and the painters painted it. Nobody in management had ever looked up.

Always a reason but not always a good one. A few of those look like they could be improved with a little thought before starting the job.
