Is there a special type of cable outlet I have to buy to run cable to my uncovered deck. Or can I just use the regular stuff...

electric or catv?
depends on your climate, but you will want a GFI for electricity and outdoor cable with weather resistant boots, such as perhaps your cable company uses, like RG-6. see
