SW PA here, not that big a difference in temp extremes. I suspect you just live in a higher rent district than I do.
They think nothing of doing a tar and chip job on main streets here.

Yep, my house is within easy walking distance of a good neighborhood!
Good to know.
A lot of tv detective shows show commercial burglaries etc. on Manhattan where they come in from the alley. It's funny.
