OT Why I like my area of Florida

No matter what your ride, accidents will happen. Maybe not if you are lucky. If there is an accident I prefer the added safety of seat belts, air bags and frame to protect me. I have been in three bad car accidents where car was totaled but I was unhurt.

I forget what I got after a hernia repair but it wasn't a narcotic. I drove into town the next day to fill the prescription and decided I might as well go to work. There was some discomfort but whether I was at my desk at home or at work that wasn't going to change.

The last accident I was in the car was totalled but the airbags didn't deploy. They don't make cars like they used to. I was in a couple of rollovers and got a cut on the forehead from one of them. I wasn't driving either time. I don't make a real good passenger.

For a good number of years cars seem to be made with 'crush areas' for lack of me being able to find a better word. They are designed so the car will be badly damaged to save the passangers. It is sort of like the metal slowly bends or breaks away to lessen the impact.

I gave up the thoughts of a motocycle when I was 23. Worked at a hospital and when saving up my money to get a motorcycle I saw them bring a man that had died in a wreck. Spent the money. That hapened to me 2 or 3 times there. Went to work at a factory and started saving again. Fellow had a wreck that was not his fault. He survived being layed up for several months and worse he lost one of his legs.

Hard enough to stay alive in a car. I had one wreck that was not my fault. Car ran a stop sigh. They were not going fast as it was in town and I was only going about 25 mph. I hit their car about their front wheel. Totaled that car and it was only 3 years old. No real bad damage, but the front of my car was wiped out, my car went sideways and bent all the metal on the driver's side, then around to the back and dented in most of the back side.

All depends where they cut and nerves involved. With wife's knee replacement they get into muscles and tendons and it hurts badly. Over twenty years ago when I had a clot in my pulmonary artery surgically removed and they had to crack my chest and do bypass and stop heart to get at it, I needed no pain killers afterwards. Others that had coronary bypasses said the biggest hurt was in legs where they harvested the bypass arteries to use.

After my hernia operation I went to a Zak Brown concert, that night. We stayed for most of it but I didn't want to get jostled around on the way out so we left while he was playing "Toes". I figured that was his closer.

When I rolled my Jeep, I didn't even spill my beer. That gimballed drink holder went over with me. I was hanging there upside down and all the dirt on the floor was now raining down on me. It was really a pretty smooth roll tho, almost like in slow motion. The wrecker rolled it back over and I drove home.

They did my double hernia repair through 3 holes about the size of your thumb, out patient. I was knocked out but I came back right away so I am guessing Milk of Amnesia. It hurt but nothing I couldn't take.

When Michigan has that requirement, I'll get a RealID license. I have all the documentation in a single file folder.

Except inconvenience people. Like you stated; it's a feel good law. Makes the pols feel good and you bad. If they WANTED to do something they would act on Fentanyl.

But the question is: Do you have to be hosed down before getting in the Caddy like you have to in the wifeys car?

What else he did not know, they not longer prescribe narcotics so he'd lose out anyway.

I had Zak Brown tickets I paid a lot of money for. I wasn't going to let a let few little holes in my belly stop me from going. In real life sitting there wasn't any worse than it would be if I sat around the house watching TV.
