Same as it always was. The smart ones did okay and the fledgling burger flippers did what they always do.

Cargo goes on ships and shipments go in cars.
Because those folk can work out what to do?
Agreed.
No more annoying than the G being pronounced as not silent.
Never heard something so ridiculous. But I do detest "fifteen hundred hours". There are not one thousand five hundred hours in the day.
What's wrong with that? Most people don't know the make, since there weren't (many) other (famous) models made by them. Neither of those words sound any more likely to be a make.
I have no problem with that. Why do you need the plural indicated in both words?
That is amusing. "Rocket science" though is a stupid phrase, since there's not much to it, just equal and opposite reactions really.
I find the lower classes/races do that.
Then stop reading them.
Saleable instead of sellable.
Price doesn't have to be absolute. "What price should we put on the widgets?" "I think they're in high demand, around a couple of hundred dollars a box".
The exact opposite. Posh folk say "the lesser of the two". They're the ones that should want morer.
Profit is legit, markup is a ripoff. For example, if I take my car in to get the brakes changed, I'd rather receive the first bill than the second:
1: Brake pads - £10 Brake callipers - £40 Labour - £140 TOTAL - £190 2: Brake pads - £30 Brake callipers - £90 Labour - £70 TOTAL - £190You can tell you've got a 2: garage when you say "I'll supply my own parts" and they run a mile.
You need to have OCD to care.
Wrong again. These are all from different sources, showing that it's a common usage.
Cargo: The Mustang fastback has 13.5 cubic feet of trunk space, which is good for the sports car class.
Genuine Chevrolet Camaro Cargo Net
The 2021 Dodge Challenger features a total cargo space of 16.2 cu. ft.
Subaru WRX Cargo Area Dimensions: Trunk Volume (ft³) 12

Reliant Regal; Reliant Supervan...
And far more stand-out, Reliant Scimitar.
Speaking of deathtraps...
I am very close to that position.
Mike Oldfield in Moonlight Shadow is to blame ;-) OK, that was "4 AM in the morning" and was done to make the line scan.
I will never forget boarding the early morning Calais Ferry, the Monday after the Herald of Free Enterprise disaster, to the strains of 'To France' over the Tannoy...
Taking on water, Sailing a restless sea From a memory, A fantasy. The wind carries Into white water, Far from the islands. Don't you know you're
*Never going to get to France.*Meanwhile the phrase I hate is 'going forward'. 4 ridiculous syllables to replace the far more accurate 3 in 'in future'
