Support AM radio.
Driving through Cunningham Falls State Park today, I found that despite the many FM stations in Maryland, none were picked up by my car radio, and there was no mobile data there either. All there was was an AM station, Maybe more than one but I didn't look further. Admittedly it was a conservative dingbat, but that might not be true all day long, and its format could change, and in an emergency it would broadcast what the police wanted.
Also, I noticed an outstanding percent of trees that looked perfect for telephone poles. Tall, straight as an arrow, no branches except at the top. Don't remember ever seeing more than a few in one place before.
