OT -- New use for Latex paint

"CHEYENNE [WY] -- Brian Mattert thought there was a good possibility police would use a Taser on him when they showed up at his house just after midnight on Sept. 16.

So he went into the back room of his house and hastily covered himself in white latex paint."

"...officers did have to replace their uniforms."

Well, they did have to put hands on him to cuff him and drag him away which would cause a transference of the paint to the officer's uniforms and body. Are you assuming that the taser sprayed the paint all over the officers?

Should have used aluminum paint. Now, that would have been interesting!

Wonder if alcohol was involved?

I'd bet money alcohol was a factor.

Maybe this rocket scientist thought latex paint is flammable?

I've always thought the best defense against a Taser or pepper spray to be a clear umbrella. You want a clear one so it can be seen that you have no weapon. Some of the LEO's I know would shoot you anyway. Yep, he was holding an assault umbrella, it was open too.

He is a copycat. The same thing happened in PA a few months ago where the guy dumped a bucket of paint on himself and told the police it would protect him from the taser. You have to wonder where the original idea came from.
