Longer version ?Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.?

C.S. Lewis is not here to point out that he was talking about other situations, not contagious lethal diseases. The longer version above is not long enough.

But if you think he would say the same thing anyhow, answer number 2: Why should I give a darn what Lewis said. Is he so smart? Loads of others woudl say the opposite.

"U.S. District Judge William Stickman determined that the sweeping measures violated ?the right of assembly enshrined in the First Amendment.? He noted Wolf?s hypocrisy in severely limiting indoor and outdoor fairs, festivals, concerts and other gatherings and condemning a small anti-lockdown protest of small-business owners (whom he called ?selfish,? ?cowardly? and ?unsafe?) ? while marching with thousands of non-socially distancing Black Lives Matter radicals in Harrisburg in June."
