My daughter has a 2020 Mazda 3 with about 75k miles.
Lately, the car is slow to responding when accelerating going up hill. She can step on he gas, but it takes a while to reach proper speed.
The Mazda dealer told her they found a software update, and that "seems" to have fixed the problem. I don't like the "seems" explanation, and I wonder if they even test drove the car.
But, I wonder more about two things.
If there was a software update, and if it did 'fix' the issue, why wasn't she notified by Mazda to come in and have the update applied?
If the car ran fine in the first place, how does it now not run fine unless the software is updated?
I doubt the update fixed anything, but we have to go pick up the car and test drive it ourselves.
I thought I'd ask here before I contact the dealer.
