My wife just plain will not allow me to do any half-ass repairs. Either I do it right or we hire an expert.

All the weird repairs I've done before I met her...little by little she has convinced me to re-do. Though in 100 years I will never get caught up I think I might have gotten away with something.

A week ago I bought a case of "tubeless" toilet paper. Same ass-wipes as before, just no cardboard tube. As long as they were selling it, what the hell I bought it.

Then today a first:

The little lady actually changed a roll herself. I was kinda surprised as she usually leaves the heavy work to me.

When I went to take a seat today, how do you like that , a fresh roll was in place. So odd she did not complain about there being no tube.

All I can think is that since she has possibly never changed a roll before, maybe she never even knew they had tubes.

21st century is shaping up to be pretty damn good.

Hope Trump does not go on some campaign to make toilet paper rolls great again.

I would be sure to let her know you have been removing the tubes to help her out a bit.

This is a strange coincidence, but I just visited my out-of-town sister and happened to notice that the toilet paper was near the end of the roll. Maybe

Yes. I was waiting for her to complain and I was all prepared to tell her I just tool the tube out ahead of time.

My entire plan failed as she told me she prefers this brand, but that's ok I if I only annoy her nine times a day, rather than ten, she's fine with it.

is shaping up to be pretty damn good.

One year I had a new muffle put on my wife's car for a Christmas present, she does like shiny things.

OTOH: I may have to gift wrap the TP in tin foil !
