OT: Carrot supermarket swindle

You don't. In UK supermarkets anyway, you can buy loose carrots. You put them in a bag yourself, then weight them at the checkout. You pay per lb. The machine will think you have a vodka-weight of carrots.

They use it to pay for loonybins like the one you ought to be in.

Bill

Just another Hucker troll post.

Bottles of booze have rfid tags on them

Next time try weighing your head. The same weight as a cabbage.

If you ever want to know how much your head weights

Just use a cabbage.

He's not old, just a dodgy looking bugger/chav,

Doesn't need to when the bag is filled by the thief from the bin of loose carrots.

It was only two small wrapped sliced corned beef and cheese from the deli, for my massive open sandwich I have on the dome of the loaf I make every 4 days in the bread machine.

I had already been in the supermarket previously and had been back to the car and managed to forget to get those and had to hike back to the supermarket in the mall again. Royally f***ed the ankle that day, I could barely walk by then.

So it was so bad you actually forgot to pay? Yeah right. The judge would not have believed you.

I distract the checkout operative with my charming good looks.

I was once buying alcohol or paracetamol, something that needed an age check. The woman came up to me and cheekily said "are you over 18?" I said "yes, and when does your shift end?" and I received a sharp gasp followed by a playful slap on my left buttock.

Er....there are no carrots. You PRETEND they're carrots.

So you got a sore ankle, needed to go to your car urgently, and either:

a) Managed to forget to pay b) Thought you'd try to get away with not paying c) Thought it would be a good idea to just walk out with them and hope they believed you when you said you were going to pay 15 minutes later

Whichever stupid one you did, why did you go back in once you'd got away with it?

Yep, I was wondering if I could make it back to the car. In fact I did but it wasn't very pleasant at all.

That depends on the state of the ankle later and if I got medical attention for it etc. And it isnt a judge anyway, it's a magistrate. And there were no staff there and the two very small packages werent very big at all so it is quite likely that they would not be noticed. They ere just 6 slices of corned beef and cheese each, with each slice folded in half, wrapped in white butchers paper.

She actually wonders if the syphilis sores are infectious and if the flecks of foam about the lips and the rabid blood shot eyes mean that she should be hitting the calling security goons button or not.

That one clearly needed new glasses.

I obviously meant that's what the machine thinks, stupid.

One which was so sore I did wonder if I could make it back to the car.

Nope, just needed to go home using the car.

Because I was wondering if I could make it back to the car.

If that was the case I wouldn't have chosen to go back and pay and joked to the self checkout supervisor about having almost having forgotten to pay and had her grin and tell me about something similar she had done herself recently.

Hobble out, actually.

I was barely out of the supermarket when I remembered that I had not paid, returned to the self checkout which is right beside the entrance/exit. Just seconds.

Because I am not a psychopath/thief.

that would be cheating ...

easier just being Polish and walking out with the goods without paying ....

the Polish do it all the time...
