When my back started to hurt, or maybe when I started getting tired, I bought Coleman trekking poles, sort of like ski poles but meant to stick in the dirt or grip the sidewalk. They have rubber feet for use on sidewalks that I had pushed on the pointed metal ends. I didn't get any benefit from them but 10 years later, a friend was looking to buy some. I'd like to give these to him and I'm like them to work right.
He likes the woods, but I cannot get the rubber booties off. I thought maybe they unscrewed but no. I twist, I pull, ... any ideas?
The third picture gives an idea:
I'm thinking some liquid dribbled on it might enter inside and help it move. But what?
