Hello - I am considering a new career in this particular field and was wondering if anyone in the group has some helpful hints or suggestion for me?

Not sure if this is the same thing. Years ago I used to work with a guy in an electronics repair shop. He used to do auto body work specializing in Corvette fiberglass body repairs. He was making good money, known for his craftsmanship but had to give it up. The chemicals he was using to do the fiberglass work was ruining his health. You might want to look into these aspects.
