When I connected the supply tube into the push fitting and turned the water on there was a severe leak. I now cannot remove the tube. Anybody have an answer? This is on an under the counter ice machine.

Use gentle heat such as hair dryer to expand the tube to remove it.
You could also just tighten one of those worm clamps around it and see if that stops the leak.
