new cabinets

some one please speak of there experience with redoing kitchen cabinets. was refacing a good choice? Thanks.

I had some friends who refaced their cabinets and it was a hugh improvement at a fraction of the cost. Basically your cabinet is a box and unless the carcasses are in trouble (rot, warping, falling off the wall) why would you want to go through the time and expense replacing something that doesn't need replacing. You don't rip out all the dry wall every time you paint a room right?
