Since we now have a large propane tank I'm considering adding a conversion kit to our portable generator . I'm looking for feedback from anyone who has done this ... my local propane dealer said that any brand regulator but Garretson is likely to be junk - all the eBay vendors show that brand , but in their description say they "may ship a different brand due to availability" so I'm leery of buying from one of them .
I haven't converted mine yet but keep thinking about it. Maybe this will be the summer that I pull the trigger.
I've heard good reviews on the Snorkel Kit from US Carburation. If I were to do it, that's what I'd use. Search for your specific kit here and choose the TriFuel option for the full kit.
I didn't do it either, but when I looked into it a few years ago, I came to the same conclusion that US Carb looked good.
I've had goof resilts with the motor snorkel conversion from US Carb
Goof results are not what we are looking for. We shouldn't be goofing around with gas of any sort. ;-)
