A lot of web pages mess up if you have scripts disabled. I've seen such things as text on top of other text, links that don't work, and links that take you to the wrong place.
This stuff is why I quit using the Firefox NOSCRIPT extension. It seems like a good idea (block scripts unless you specifically enable them), but it's more of a problem when a page has scripts from 20 or more external sources with cryptic names, and there's no way to tell which one(s) are causing the mess. Unfortunately, too many pages are like this.
What could you possibly NEED a script for? Just firewall ports 80 and
