You can start with the tools at this site

But you may only be able to get the name of the ISP that assigned that IP to a user, and/or a general location such as town name. And IPs can be spoofed by VPNs and other methods

First try your own IP and see what you get.

When the police need this info, they generally have to issue a warrant or subpoena the ISP.

How do you know you were hacked ? What did you lose ?

You don't. The hacker is probably posting through another hacked computer.

I know your IP address : 50.29.230.223 (assuming you're not using a proxy or a VPN)

Seriously, using Google to access Usenet ?

Format your disk, install a safe OS (Win 10 leaks like a sieve) change all your passwords, notify your bank/credit card companies, install a decent firewall and browser (NOT Chrome) and avoid social media/opening unknown email attachments or you will be hacked again. You don't really need an AV, they are more trouble than they're worth. Haven't used a resident AV in 5 years. []'s

PS And backup important data to a USB Harddrive drive at least once a week. NEVER use "the cloud" AKA "someone else's computer" for private stuff.

Agree.

If the OP has evidence of the computer crime, then check with the local police and state officials.

Some states have elderly abuse laws.
