Yes, there are college games, high school games, little league.
I once went to a grammar school pruduction of "Purlie", and they were really good. PS-11. Little kids could sing on tune, with the right phrasing and everything. Only a 2-block walk and 25 cents admission.
What made it a disrupton?
Sure.
Can you imagine a private company that played the national anthem each day and expected every employee to stand and face the flag? 99% don't do that. I can imagine a few do, but if someone didn't want to stand, what do you think would happen to him? Nothing, or the union would strike. Or maybe you're against unions too.
Got that right.
Broadway, my local ball field was Yankee Stadium and my local orchestra and venue was Lenny Bernstein and the NY Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall. When that quality of performance becomes one's frame of reference, it's hard to adjust to a different standard. My years living in Boston provided almost equivalent quality. Wish I could say the same about D.C. but for me, not so.
Talking about careers and professional sports:
a group of jocks were talking about their professional experience and nerves before the game, and how much money they made etc when it came to light that football players made more money than hockey players. One of the hockey players said during practice before a big game he passed hockey pucks, and he heard the football players passed footballs - - and opined "That's gotta REALLY hurt!!!!"
