How to lure docile bees away from the kiddie pool

The bees are the normal pollinating ones which wouldn't hurt you even after you swish them away from the kids playing in the kiddie pool but they cause the kids to panic (even more than the horseflies cause the kids to scream).



I don't want to trap or kill them - just to lure them away from the kids.



Is there a proven method to lure docile bees away from the kiddie pool?

Try some 1:1 sugar/water syrup in a shallow container (pie tin works well) with a layer of small pebbles . Don't submerge the pebbles , the bees need a place to stand while they're drinking .
