Hose Across driveway

Your head may have grown by now, but you could try to get some EPDM Rubber (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) Hose. That's the stuff they use for those traffic counting tubes over roads... seem to put up with anything. You would have to fashion a fitting for it.
