Gutter Job

Hi all,

My gutters need replacement, and I've been studying the various companies out here in NJ.

Ned Stevens (the cheapest for 800 bucks,) refused to come and show me their products. So they are out.

The Gutter Genie came to my house, made a big fuss about the competition, and showed me a product that has a good guarantee, 2400 for the 90 feet of gutter (both sides of the house.)

My questions are:

1-Has anyone heard of these guys and are they reliable?

2-Is the product superfluous in terms of function? Do I really need support for the bottom of the gutter? Et cetera.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Richard

If you've already eliminated them, why do you even mention the company? It appears to be some sort of retaliation.

The whole gutter has to be supported. How that is done depends on the gutter configuration and the installer's choices.

Search the construction and home repair newsgroups. The gutter questions come up frequently and you'll have plenty of reading and opinions to help you narrow the field.
