Which lilies can be left to overwinter in the ground?

Among lilies, there are many frost-resistant species that can easily survive the winter without being dug up. These include groups such as tiger lilies, Siberian lilies, Asian lilies, OT hybrids, Candida, and Martagon.

However, more heat-loving lilies oriental lilies, trumpet lilies, American lilies, Caucasian lilies, and LA hybrids are better to dig up for the winter. They tolerate severe frosts less well and may freeze to death.

How to help lilies overwinter:

-️After pruning, mulch the plantings with dry leaves or fir branches

-️In regions with harsh winters, additionally cover them with non-woven material.
