Garage door reverses right before it closes what's causing this?

My garage door starts closing normally but reverses back up right before it hits the ground, every time. I already checked the sensors near the bottom of the tracks and wiped them down, no visible obstruction, and they're aligned (both lights are solid, not blinking). Track looks straight too as far as I can tell.

Could this be a spring tension issue, or something with the limit settings on the opener? Trying to figure out if this is a quick DIY fix or something I should call someone for. Any ideas welcome.

First thing I'd do is disconnect the opener from the door and see if the door has full travel.

Does this happen all the time or just certain times of the day?

Mine does that when the sun is low and blinding the sensors. I live very close to an east-west parrallel on this street.

I can get around the issue by holding the button inside or in the car until it closes all the way.

Happy hunting!
