Garage Door Kit

Costco, Home Depot and Lowes has sectional garage door kits for the DIYers. The spring counter balance system is different than the ones the contactors install for safety reasons. So how good is the spring system provided for the DIYers? Has anyone installed one of those units and like to comment on the installation process and long term use?

Same springs. The DIY system just adds a mechanical, drill operated, cable tensioner. Instead of having the door propped open and springs tensioned as in the old days, now door is closed and springs installed than tension applied with a drill.

If you have a Wayne Dalton store near you call them. I priced their products at Lowes and at a Wayne Dalton store and the WD store was much cheaper.
