extend exhaust?

can i extend the exhaust PVC furnace pipes that stick out of the house? the steam rises and "fogs up" the windows right above the pipes!

You may be ok, but you may be able to put and elbow on it depending on how your piping is run. Your instal manual will outline this, max feet, and elbows.
