I am working on some projects and I am disappointed in how little travel the quill on my drill press has. Its only about 1.25 in.
Are there drill presses sold that have quills that will travel 3- 4 inches ? That would be a tremendous help.

Look for a used Delta 17-900. 3 3/8" quill stroke.
Nice drill, but I don't think Home Depot carries anything like that ! I checked !

If that thing ever developed run out, it would probably slap you in the face with the bit. :-O
My old Buffalo drill press has about 5" of quill travel.
You might find one used.
