Have model 129.53664srt. Can anyone please tell me how to start over on the keyless entry pad to get in without remotes? I have had this since 96. I lost the old password and want to start over. There is no instruction in the book on how to do this. Every time I try it keeps blinking. thank you!
Also I had to buy a new remote. I cannot get one to work without the other working. Do I need to hit the buttons on both of the remotes at the same time?
Push the same "smart button" and hold it until the L.E.D. light goes off. This will erase the memory completely. Push the smart button momentarily and enter the code on the keypad within 30 seconds (easier w/ a second person entering the code.
Push the smart button momentarily again & push the button on your original transmitter before the LED goes off. If your new transmitter is the exact same model repeat the process for the new transmitter. However it sounds like you have two similar but different transmitters. If one says Security + on it & one doesn't they will not work on the same unit at the same time. The receiver will only accept one kind and therefore the transmitters need to be the same.
If they both say security + the original transmitter may have lost it's rolling code capability & would need to be replaced. I had never heard of this until someone in this group brought it to my attention a few months ago.
