CFL's

With over 100 CFL's active in my home for the past 7 years, yesterday the 3rd failure ocurred. It was in the basement near the cat's litter boxes and stayed on 24/7. This is the 2nd failure of 24/7 useage. The

3rd failure was in the master bath and of 10 CFL's in the light bar only the one has failed.

That's amazing to get ~30,000 hrs life from a CFL.

Leave it off. Kitty can find the box, even in (what we would consider) the dark.

Last night I was sitting on the edge of the bed. Kitty walked by and went to the corner where the litter box used to be. He looked around for a moment. Puzzled.

Then he remembered.

He scampered off - at speed - for the cabinet in the bathroom that is the new location of the box.

Andy suggests: Instead of a CFL to light up the cat crapper, you might consider one of the LED night lights. I get them at Family Dollar for one dollar, and they put out a blue glow, sufficient to guide a human thru a darkened room... Cats see better, so it would be even easier for them..... The LED blue I have draws only 4/10 of a watt, and I haven't had one "burn out" yet......

I can't equal that. I think that I have about 120-130 overall.

It's okay. A grammatical law says that for every erroneous use of an apostrophe there is simultaneously, somewhere on the planet, an extra one being used.

It averages out.

It's great to have lamp sockets in closets, something often forgot. I got couple dozen. Until I find suitable spot, I will use halogen. Yes I got a kitty cfl. But it's for me too. I got two downstairs I leave on always. Got 10 4 foot florescent and two cfl in garage.

You are indeed...wrong!

"Get this straight once and for all: when the S is added to a word simply to make it a plural, no apostrophe is used (except in expressions where letters or numerals are treated like words, like =93mind your P=92s and Q=92s=94 and =93learn your ABC=92s=94)."

Please consult your doctor for brain atrophy. (I thought this was free expression and point/counter-point!)
