Would "the home" be the old fart's home?

No, he died about two years ago. And the home is listed for sale.

you allergic?

this year seems to be a high count for wasps/hornets. they were buzzing all over the place out there today.

we have a lot of large rocks that they like to build nests behind. the raccoons come through every once in a while and pull the nests out (and eat them :) ).

The one time I got stung on my hand, it did swell up and hurt a lot. Allergic? Unsure.

That would be obummer's fault!

I hung my helmet on the bike's mirror this morning. When I came out from work an went to put it on, a yellow jacket was checking it out for a home. I'm glad I saw it. A wasp in a full face helmet isn't much fun.

The damn ticks are out too. Wasps I can mostly live with but a tick drives me into a homicidal frenzy. I cut them in half and burn the pieces.

If you were allergic you would be sure. Of course, just because you were okay the last time doesn't mean you won't stop breathing the next time you get stung. Better buy an Epipen and keep it with the dead flashlights.

In the half century I've been alive, got stung once. And that was when I was taking apart a piece of machinery. I knew full well it had active nest. Sprayed it with what I had (ant and roach spray). Guess that doesn't do much on wasps. Won't make that mistake again. Not worth the $50 to buy an epi pen for an event that's not happening again. (I hope!).

No. that would be the old Dodge work van that he cut an opening for his window shaker A/C. I used to have a pix but too lazy to look it up.

What size ticks do you have? Have you tried a flea & tick collar?

Probably a european hornet. They are huge but not particularly aggressive.

I think hornets are usually WASPs.
