bug problem

Why are there so many bugs this year? Another cycle of black flies, minges or no see ums. I can't wait for a freeze.

Mostly skeeters around here (Alberta)...not many flies as some years. Had so much rain it must have drowned the flies for now at least. =3D=3D

It must be global warming. ;-)

They are not that bad in SW Florida this year. We had a bad time a couple months ago but right now they are surprisingly light and I am out walking the dog every night.

Must be wet where you are. We [near Schenectady, NY] have had a shortage of bugs this year. [and I'm not complaining!]

It has been hot & dry since early May. I've finally gotten some tomatoes- the first in 3 years.

The bats dying off probably hasn't helped. I haven't seen a single one this year.
