A man fell into the depths of a camp toilet while trying to retrieve his sunglasses in Central California, prompting a multi-agency rescue operation.
The call for assistance went out on Saturday, June 20, just before 2:30 p.m. local time, when first responders were dispatched to Camp Edison in Shaver Lake following a report of a confined space rescue, YourCentralValley.com and The Guardian reported. When rescue crews arrived, they discovered a man had tumbled into a vault toilet, which is non-flushing and waterless, after trying to recover the sunglasses that had fallen into the tank.
