I bought 17 Eaton RL460WH935 LED Retrofit kits from Lowes to replace the installed PAR20 halogen bulbs. 16 kits went in without issue but one ceiling can isn’t anchored and floats as the LED module is inserted.
There is wood flooring in the room above so don’t have access from there so I bent the spring strips and attempted to hold down the can using a coat hanger. This worked somewhat but there’s a 1/4” gap at the ceiling which I’d prefer to eliminate. The closest stud is at least 3" away from the can. Please suggest potential ways I might anchor this can.
Also, do the LED modules really need to be grounded to the existing cans?
