A monumental mistake

I made a huge mistake about a month ago. First, against my better judgement, I went to the urban cowboy store, commonly known as TSC, and second bought one of those new fangled weed eater on wheels things. It cost me about $300.00. It is a bonafide piece of crap. I used it two times and gave it away. I'm told the Sears model is better but I doubt it. I can take my Echo weed eater and do twice the trimming in half the time. I hope people will take this to heart and save themselves some money.

Buy a goat, self federalizing (sic) and you can sell it later or have a BBQ.

I call BS, because nobody with the amount of rage you're displaying would " give away" a $300 machine after only two uses... You'd take it back to the store and raise holy hell until they gave you a refund!

I have a Sears version from around 15 years ago and it will cut circles aro und any "weed whacker." You can just march along and take down a 12" wide p ass of waist-deep mature grass and weeds as you go, where all a regular str ing trimmer would do is get tangled up.

If there was a manufacturer's sales rep in your area, I would have called him before I gave that tool away.

Often there's mistakes made at the factory that don't get discovered until someone complains about performance or accessories available that aren't stocked at the retail stores that the sales reps know about, such as stainless steel blades to mount on the trimmer instead of the nylon cord.

But, if the machine was made in China, it's basically disposable and there won't be any factory support, such as local sales representatives.

I call BS too.

Had you said that you tried this route before giving the machine away, I might have believed you:

"MANAGER APPROVAL IS REQUIRED for any return made without a receipt and/or after 30 days from date of purchase. "

Since you made no mention of attempting to return the machine to the store, I'm having a hard time believing that you even bought one "about a month ago".

I can give youthe people's name that I gave it to if you wish. Better yet, I'll hook you up with them on Facebook. The TSC one (Swisher) bogs down on just about anything. My Echo uses a blade and works just fine. Why I fell for another TSC, the urban cowboy store, piece of crap is beyond me. I didn't know those things existed 15 years ago.

Listen up. We've dealt with the urban cowboy store for quite a few years, in several different little towns around us. They have the most incompetent employees, half don't even have managers, I have ever dealt with. I am still kicking my ass for giving in to my wife's "oh honey that sure seems like a time saver, let's get one" crap. The nearest urban cowboy store to us is 40 miles away and it was just easier to give the damn thing away than waste time going back and talking to some texting little pissant that doesn't know their ass from a bass fiddle. I don't have the patience for that. If you like that company, fine. If you have one these miracle weed eaters on wheels and you like it, fine. I'm just telling folks that don't have one to save their money or try Sears. Or hell, why not Montgomery Wards? A little friendly suggestion, when you're thinking about a piece of equipment like this, check out John Deere, Caterpillar, Case or Harvester. If they don't have it, ask yourself why.

Well hell, you caught me, I lied. It was in March but I still only used it twice.
