I have a bet with a coworker.he says that a 4 lamp instart electronic ballast can be wired with the one red and one blue lead connected to the same yellow wire with no harm to the ballast. instead of 2 blue wires connected to yellow or the 2 red wires connected to yellow as on the diagram on the ballast.he said that the 2 yellow wires that come out of the ballast are soldered together inside the ballast.i believe hes wrong and the ballasts life will greatly be reduced.if anyone has input on the matter it would be greatly apprecated.
