Can I use a CFL bulb in a Mercury Vapor fixture (is the ballast compatible)?

Most CFL bulbs are self ballasted. The ones that aren't require their own type of ballast. In other words, if you are repurposing a Mercury Vapor fixture, you'll need to change the ballast.
