What are the home remedies for brown patch (prevention or curing)?

Brown patch is a fungal disease and therefore needs an anti-fungal chemical treatment. Any good brand of fungicide listed as treating for brown patch will do the job. It's easier to use the brands in the bottles that are already mixed & attach to your hose-end (unless you have a large homesite to treat, in which case get the concentrate and use a hose-end sprayer or similar). Just be persistent, follow directions, and treat the affected area and beyond it to cure your lawn of the disease.
I think we would need your definition of Brown Patch...
