A little while back before I researched this I replaced both my elements and cut the thermostats up not knowing how it works I cut the bottom up high which made the top never work I got what I wanted in the damand for hot water but I think it's been really runing my electric up so I put it back the way it's supposed to work and cut the top up a little higher and bottom on at factory setting 120 now I can't get what I'm looking for in having hot water long enough
