Should I replace the main load bearing beam?

In the basement of an 1880 home, the main load bearing beam is torqued clockwise from one end to the other so that the joists above are resting on the running edge of the beam. The only place where the joists rest on the flat of the beam is at the center support pole. Even where the beam rests in the footers of the wall, the beam is only touching the brick on its corner.

The floor above is solid, no squeaks or weak spots. Should we just leave well enough alone?

Yep, as long as the house is happy, leave it alone. If it ain't broken or rotted, then everything will stay perfectly fine. If a miracle fixes it, then you can just shim the joists back up into place.
