spring surprise plus other pics

frogs croaking already? this is a crazy winter/spring already. i sure hope summer isn't too hot too long. i like hot weather but i also like to have actual seasonal weather too. going from below average to 20F above average in less than a week is ...

today, did a bit of weeding and even watered some of the strawberries since they were partially heaved out of the ground and looked a little too dry.

before weeding i was not expecting to see much other than the early crocuses, but i went and wandered around the gardens and found these up already. quickly done too as they weren't out two days ago when i walked by that garden. tricksy.

then i had to put up a picture of the horsetail root structure. the picture is actually a panorama shot of three stitched together. the length of the space is about

15ft and about 5ft from top to bottom.

another of the red patch and chives. for some reason the picture of the white irises in front of the red patch is very popular overseas. so let's give 'em some more and see what happens. :)

after several years of taking pictures it is quite a pile i'm getting, and many of them are worth posting to the website eventually. i'm still fiddling and testing things out to see what i like for a generator/site layout, etc.

as i'm goofing around with unstable software at the moment i had one other picture i was going to put up tonight, but it's all barfing when i start it up so that will have to wait until another time.

check back once in a while for updates, when i get the actual gizmos set up the way i like i'll probably do the flower galleries first since those are the most fun.
