Order from henryfields.com and receive spam for life

I ordered some seeds last year from henryfields.com and was placed on a mailing list. I did not ask to be placed on it or set any checkbox on their site. Usually this is no problem as one may opt out after getting the first mailing. The problem is that I have followed the opt out link about four times, sent emails to the contact support address, and made a call to an actual person once, all with no result. I continue to get spam from them. I made the order LAST winter so they have had plenty of time to remove my address.

I really don't understand why some companies think that if they force you to get unrequested and unwanted email that you will continue as a customer. I will never order from them again or any of the other associated d/b/a's owned by the same company. I wont mention the name but it is easy to do a search. I don't know if the other d/b/a's have the same problem. All I can do now is plonk them and warn others about what they can expect if they order from them.

Just found a site that has feedback and rating from customers for gardening companies. Think I will put in my $0.02 next spam I get.

i fell into a similar trap; but in MY case, i hadn't even visited the site(s) which were generating the spam mails.

i wrote them all sorts of threatening emails like, "if you don't stop, i'll tell your mother" and "stop sending me this sh*t otherwise i'll report you to the internet master" (knowing, of course, there is no such being, unfortunately).

the EASIEST way to handle the situation, cause you MUCH LESS stress, and bring peace back to your computer is....well, actually, depending upon which mail programme you are using---outlook express is the easiest (at least, for me as a MAC-user {{AND PROUD}} )---just go to the MAIN MENU --allllllll the way on top---part of the MAIN MENU, under TOOLS and choose the item about

2/3 of the way down called Junk Mail Filter... clunk down on that and a little box will open: you'll see a little box, click on it and a check mark will appear in the little box. then, a little further down, you'll see a line-bar marked "Sensitivity" it's YOUR choice how heavy duty you want to make these actions. (i chose "HIGH")...and then below that is a larger box where you can list all the names of spam-muckers you've been being bugged by. you must list them like: abcspam.com,ebay.com,paypal.com etc NO SPACES between the comma and the next name...just as i've indicated above.

it works---REALLY!!! and that, in itself, makes this one microsoft programme worth SOMETHING (and to a mac-user, that means A LOT)!!!

good luck===smooth sailing!!!!!
