Korean grass

One of the neighbors has Korean grass in a garden. Sounds like it's practically maintenance free and needs no mowing. First thought was... if I put it in a section of the lawn, is there any way to keep it fairly flat and not clump up?

Not certain but appears to be zoysia. Does not need as frequent mowing and does look nice in the summer but browns up if your winters are cold.
