Sometimes IF YOU KNOW what you are doing you can add those nasty weeds to your stir fry.

Purslane comes to mind. Others ?

A hammer? And a good aim.

In addition to the hoe and hammer?, other mechanical solutions to consider are precise long-handled tools for pulling weeds, especially in lawns and gardens.

A good selection of these tools can be found at the World of Weeds website. Many unique tools such as the popular weed twister variety can be found on this site.

The World of Weeds also includes the EWIRM database of weeds with pictures to help you figure out if your suspect plant is officially noxious, poisonous or possible edible.

In a lawn Bonide broadleaf weed killer works well.

In a garden you can use Preen or corn gluten as a preemergent weed killer. However, it won't kill the weeds that are already established.
