Thanks for the advice! We have narrowed down to about half a dozen plants, including the orchids, lucky bamboo, pothos, and a bromiliad variety. The seem hardy and can take the moving van out of direct sun. I'm going to see if they can be barerooted and packed in wet paper towels to keep them from drying out totally.
