Can't for the life of me, remember the name of this vine

Haven't done much serious Gardening in a few years now, so my neighbor asks me, What is this vine growing on His fence. Must be a dyslexic thing, can't remember.

Does anyone have a link to a good web site, with pictures, so I can refresh myself.

Thanks in advance. Peter

Are we supposed to guess what it is without any description or reference?

I am not asking anyone to guess, just a link to a good site so I can find it myself, and refresh my memory to all the plants I have forgoten. A lot of you must have some good links, please share.

This may help a bit but it is not as extensive as I had expected.

Go to Google > click images > enter this: +vines +plants

Are people still using the term "newbie?" Either way, we don't post photo's to a non-binary group. If you want vine websites, do a google search on that subject.

He wasn't asking for us to identify it

He wasn't looking for something to buy.

He merely asked if there were web pages anyone could recommend.. general web pages for plants where he could then go look around, to refresh his memory of what names went with which plants.

crabby much?

you can search many different ways, just try words that you can think of, combine them, try them one way, then turn them around.. sometimes you get different results, do an advanced search to block out stuff you don't want to see.

Good luck!

I suggested you do a search. I also told you the protocol of the newsgroup. I don't see where I was anything but helpful. There are literally thousands of websites where you can find your answers, newbie.

Did you give this person a list of websites? No? Oh, then go away.

No, gave him one that has a lot of pictures with it. Don't know if it was on that site, but he did find it.

May you trip and fall into a pool of kindness.

He didn't "find" it. Someone suggested, after he posted photo's that, it was wisteria. I don't know how anyone could identify anything without seeing the flower, but okay.

But... the man Did NOT ask for us to identify it. He said he was a bit rusty on names as it had been awhile since he'd gardened, and asked if there were places we could recommend .. you know ... reference sites..where he could refresh his memory.. putting names with plants.. even if only pictures. He just couldn't remember the name of the vine, and wanted to look at some pictures with names.

I gave him the one site I could remember.. because .. gee things slip my mind these days too. Not everyone is experienced and can get the search engines to spit out things we want. I can sometimes, but there are times that for the life of me, I can't.

Giving the man a reference site or two is like giving the fisherman a worm or two to fish with to get started. It's not like it's some closely guarded secret that *I* need to keep my arm curled around all hunched over hissing, spitting and lashing out to protect. Mine! Mine! Mine! Find your own!

sheesh
