allamanda schottii vs nerifolia?

Nov 24, 2004 3 Replies

Would anyone happen to know the difference between allamanda schottii and allamanda nerifolia? I've seen both called "bush allamanda" but haven't seen anything that says they are synonymous.

Thanks.

Hi CK,

If you scroll down here you will find:

Brazilian Bush Allamanda - Allamanda schotti (A. nerifolia 'Brazilian'

Since you see A. nerifolia in parenthesis it means that the name ha been changed and they are actually the same plant.

And from this site:

formatting link
"This species is synonymous with and sometimes listed for sale as A nerifolia or A. cathartica var. schottii."
